The London Regiment is the only Territorial Army (TA) Infantry Battalion based in London. We pride ourselves on being the 'Infantry for London'.

We have something to offer everyone - whether that's the challenge of staying physically fit, increasing leadership skills, developing great communication skills or deploying on demanding operational tours around the world.

The London Regiment proudly bears the title given to the Territorial Infantry of London in 1908. All the present-day component parts of the Regiment can trace their origins back to London volunteer units, and this is an important element of our unity.

There are four different cap badges within the Regiment and Companies, and while each is charged with the protection of its heritage and identity, their allegiance to The London Regiment is a powerully motivating factor.

Today, The London Regiment stands as the sole TA battalion within the Household Division - the first such unit in history. From the Cold War to the present day, soldiers from the Regiment have served as individuals and formed groups in Northern Ireland, the Falklands, Bosnia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Croatia, Iraq and Afghanistan.
