Ever wondered what it's like to assault a beachhead? Ever thought how difficult it must be to get men and vital supplies from sea to shore? The Army has its own fleet of ships and landing craft to deliver troops, equipment and supplies 'over the beach'. Smaller boats are used to patrol harbours, rivers and lakes and help bridge-building and ferrying operations.
